what it says on the tin.

With any PoD after Alexander the Great's death - have these historic sub-Saharan African kingdoms dominate a neighbor or neighbors to the north for a nice long chunk of time like the over 300 years of Ptolemid, Roman and Ottoman rule over Egypt.

Ethiopia wouldn't. Nubia might.

Catch is that any Nubian attack would have to overcome the Ptolemies
and in this scenario they probably have Seleucid help too.

Now a joint Nubian - Seleucid attack on Egypt is an interesting
scenario but I don't see how one brings it about.

Such a scenario (even if not successful) would probably morph Judaism
into something totally different if not eliminate it altogether given
how formative the reign of Antiochus Epiphanes was to the formation of
modern Judaism...
