Even if the Japs had put the Me262 into production,
would there have been fuel for them?
How could they put it into production, it is not just fuel, The Germans
lacked precious metals like nickel, cobalt and molybdenum, so they had to
switch to aluminium-coated steel. The Japanese are in a worse position here
as they lacked nickel so they could not make a high-quality steel.
The other issue is that the me262 although a great plane over effect was
not that great, it shot down about 150 Allied aircraft for the loss of
about 100 Me-262s in air combat.
